Very easy to assemble and can easily tightens to make parts more sturdy & secure so it won't fall apart while cats are playing or sleeping on it. The base stands sturdy on carpet or hard floors doesn't tilt or slide around when my cats are on it and the scratching pad ladder doesn't come off nor bent. The cat tree fits my cats which weighs less than 11 lbs. They go right in with ease and have no problem moving around in the cat tree.
