Very easy to use by simply sliding the shelf through the slide opener (as shown in picture above). It has a hard plastic construction that will hold a cell phone, electric water flossing system, electric toothbrush, electric shaver, tablets, etc. It has a built-in nightlight with a volume on the side of the surge protector you can control the brightness level by sliding up or down for dim, super bright or off.
